Cassie Haynes

Cassie is the Executive Director of the Independence Hall Association. A strategist, institution builder, and civic educator, she brings to IHA a career spent at the intersection of narrative, systems change, and democratic infrastructure. She is the co-founder of Resolve Philly, one of the country's most respected collaborative journalism organizations, and the founder of Plot Twist Consulting, which advises philanthropic institutions and mission-driven organizations on capital strategy, ecosystem design, and governance. A Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow alumna and current seminary student, Cassie is deeply committed to building institutions and civic experiences that make the full complexity of American history accessible — and actionable — for everyone. She lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her family.

Andrew Breslin

Andy is a writer, researcher, editor, and web developer with more than two decades of experience creating informative and engaging content across a wide range of subjects. His work has appeared in publications including Salon, Livestrong, and eHow, where he has written on topics spanning science, health, technology, and the arts. He is also a published novelist. Since 2015, Andy has served as webmaster for USHistory.org, where he has contributed to significant growth in ad revenue, accessibility, and digital reach. In his current role as Content Manager, he brings that deep familiarity with the site's architecture and audience to IHA's next chapter.

Jim Cassano

Jim Cassano is a three-time CEO with over a decade of experience as a Board member of a NASDAQ company with operations in China as well as a number of private entrepreneurial ventures. In addition to current roles, Jim is a consultant to top management. For companies he advises, Jim brings with him experience as a General Partner in a private equity partnership and a venture capital company with substantial M&A experience, structuring joint ventures and creating strategic alliances He also brings with him hands-on experience in finance, numerous financial and business services sectors, internet software, entertainment, publishing, pharmaceutical, biotech services and engineering in the US, Europe, China and the Middle East.
