Andy oversees the technical infrastructure and day-to-day operations of ushistory.org. He maintains a large, high-traffic digital archive that supports millions of learners, educators, and history enthusiasts each year. Andy brings a steady, solutions-oriented approach to managing legacy systems while supporting the site’s growth, stability, and accessibility as IHA works to modernize this valuable digital asset.

Jim Cassano

Jim has been a steward of the organization since 1998. For more than two decades, he has played a central role in shaping IHA’s historical content and educational mission, helping bring the work of leading American historians into digital classrooms and public learning spaces. Many of the foundational history courses and materials that remain freely available on ushistory.org today reflect Jim’s long-standing commitment to rigorous, accessible history education.

Richard Binswanger

Richard joined IHA’s Board of Directors in early 2026. A well-known civic, business, and philanthropic leader in Philadelphia, he is deeply engaged in the city’s cultural institutions and public life. Often described as a “man about town,” Richard brings a wide-angle perspective rooted in relationships across sectors, helping connect the organization’s digital history mission to the civic, educational, and cultural ecosystem of Philadelphia.
